Hill visits to the herd. A daily guided hill visits with one of our experienced reindeer herders takes visitors up onto the mountain side where the main herd live all year round. A scenic hill walk followed by the feeding of the herd is greatly enjoyed by all. The reindeers’ soft velvet noses mean they are a delight to hand feed and combined with their endearing and friendly nature a visit to the reindeer on the hill is an unforgettable experience.
Daily Hill visits: 11.00am
From May to September 11.00am + 2.30pm
+ July to August
3.30pm (Mon - Fri)

Paddock Visits. From April to New Year a small group of reindeer are cared for down at the Reindeer Centre in Glenmore. The reindeer here are alternated regularly with the reindeer on the hill and we often choose reindeer for the paddocks who may benefit from a slightly easier life off the hill. The paddock reindeer with Santa’s Bothy, the Elves’ House and lots of information about the herd is a perfect way for visitors who are unable to go on to the open hill to see our reindeer.

Trekking with reindeer Join an exclusive party of trekkers, reindeer and experienced reindeer herders on a half-day trek across the lower slopes of the Cairngorms. With stunning views of the Cairngorms National Park everyone will get an opportunity to lead their own reindeer as we wind our way along mountain trails. After resting and feeding the reindeer the trek returns to the main herd where there will be an opportunity to join in with the daily feeding of the herd. Advance booking essential.
