How to find us

Please note that sat-navs will take you to the wrong place – do not follow them!

***Our Wild Farm Tours take place at a different location – please follow the directions in your confirmation email, not the ones below!***

We love the what3words app, which addresses 3m x 3m grid squares with three simple memorable words – the app is free and you can navigate to us at grabs.noodle.nutty (it’s also great for arranging where to meet your friends).

The Reindeer Centre is marked on most road maps, and is located in Glenmore village, 6 miles east of Aviemore.

From Aviemore, turn at the roundabout beside La Taverna restaurant and follow the road towards Cairngorm Mountain and Glenmore village. STAY ON THIS ROAD for 6 miles, past Loch Morlich, all the way to Glenmore village, where you will find us. Please park in the lay-bys along the main road. Allow at least 15 minutes for the journey from Aviemore.

If you are travelling from Edinburgh or Glasgow, you will need to travel up the A9 to Aviemore before turning off towards Glenmore. Please leave plenty of time for your journey – it will take you around 3 hours in good traffic.

Public transport

If you don’t have a vehicle, there is a bus service which runs roughly once at hour from Aviemore towards Cairngorm Mountain, stopping at Glenmore enroute. Details of the schedule of the 31 bus route can be found at http://www.travelinescotland.com/lts/#/timetables by searching for “31 Aviemore – Cairngorm Ski Centre”. If you are arriving by bus and are hoping to join the hill trip, please bear in mind that most visitors use their own vehicle to journey from the Centre to the start of the walk, which is about a mile uphill. Your only option then is to walk up to the start after collecting your tickets – you will need to be here at least an hour before the hill trip, and we can give you directions (it is a gradual uphill walk the whole way).

Aviemore also has a taxi service contactable on 01479 811 111.
