Christmas Fun in the Paddocks
The Paddocks and Exhibition are currently CLOSED for refurbishment.
UPDATE 30TH NOVEMBER: We had hoped to be able to re-open in relatively ‘normal’ fashion by Christmas 2024, but due to the inevitable building delays this isn’t the case and there won’t be much in the way of normality! The groundworks in the Paddocks, such as the boardwalks and viewing platforms, will still take several more months to fully complete too, hence this winter everything will be in a somewhat temporary state with a smaller visitor capacity than normal.
At the moment we are aiming to have reindeer in the Paddocks on the weekends in December (starting from the 7th) and during the Christmas holidays, but potentially this may be on certain days only with the Paddocks remaining closed on other days – we don’t know yet. We are working away as hard as we can, and will update on here as and when we know more.
Whilst the building itself is now completed, it has not yet been signed over to us, so we won’t have access to it until into December now. Thankfully our ‘old’ shop/reception is still in place, so once there are reindeer to see, visitors will check-in in the old shop, as in the past, before entering the Paddock area.
Please note that all of the ‘normal’ things in the Paddocks, such as the Exhibition and kid’s quiz etc, won’t be present at all this winter, and sadly the Elves also don’t have their house back yet (they will in the future, we promise…). Until we have access to the building we will have no display material or undercover area at all.
If you are hoping to visit the Paddocks this Christmas, please keep checking back on this webpage – we will update it as soon as we have more of a plan ourselves, as well as posting on our social media pages. Be aware that when tickets are released, they will sell out extremely quickly (initially they may be available on the day only, rather than in advance).
Hill Trips to see the herd up on the mountains are running as normal – more info here.
