How are we nearing the end of the year?! After the Summer, the reindeer are in great condition and we have some cracking sets of antler within the herd. Christmas training has began for our 3 year old boys and there is a noticeable change in temperature with colder weather beginning.

1st of September: Morris fast asleep and using Amur as a head rest!
3rd of September: Two of our calves were preferring the company of us herders rather than the herd!
4th of September: Hopscotch looking gorgeous out on the free range.
5th of September: When looking for reindeer in the bottom of our hill enclosure; great care is needed as you may walk into a huge web.
7th of September: Hopscotch’s three year old daughter, Zambezi.
11th of September: Heather is the most recent reindeer decoration. This is Texel, one of our 7 year old year old females.
12th of September: Alba is constantly on our tail looking for extra feed now that she is back in the hill enclosure
13th of September: Latte after one of our Hill Trips.
15th of September: Mocha with cheeks full of cud.
16th of September: Herder Emily-Kate with Athens on her right and Elbe on her left. This is Elbe’s first year going through Christmas training and he has absolutely aced it.
17th of September: Camomile along with her mother Flax and Turtle in the background. Flax has had an exhausting Hill Trip, munching on hand feed.
18th of September: Athen’s and Ob decided they didn’t want to join the Hill Trip’s today meaning i had a lovely walk out to find them. Our hill enclosure covers a vast amount of ground and it can take us a couple of hours to walk around it.
19th of September: Sweet Bordeaux in her favourite spot looking for extra feed.
20th of September: Tub can often be found hanging out with us herders. Here he is walking down to see us after one of our Hill Trips.
21st of September: Sunflower has spent the summer out on the free range and is in wonderful condition. We have since brought her into our hill enclosure as we prepare for the breeding season.
23rd of September: Solero giving puppy dog eyes in the hopes for extra food.
